Hello,

I'm thinking of selling my Fortress One fretless 4-string (I bought it in the end of 1993). It has a black transparent finish.
Unfortunately, I have no more use for it.

It is reasonably well-cared, even though the ebony fretboard (IIRC) has some scratches due to roundwound strings.

How much should I expect this bass to be worth (EUR)?

For the record, the serial number of this bass is E-002420-94.
Actually, even though I 'bought' it in the end of 1993, I waited several months for it to arrive in Portugal.

Recently two Fortress One Fretless basses (natural finish) have been sold on Dutch websites, 450 and 500 euro..

500 EUR (plus shipping and related costs) would be then a good starting point to deal.

Was this bass originally fretless, or was it made fretless?
 
It is an original fretless. I bought it in Portugal but had to wait several months for delivery from Germany (in 1993-4 very few fretlesses were available in-store for sale).
 
What is the specification (body wood, neck, fretboard)? Are those Bartolini pickups?

TorVic, I think this bass (totally unmodified) has an ash body, a wenge neck and an ebony fretboard. The pickups are MEC passive.

The Fortress One usually had a maple body,the passive pickups had either a passive tone pot for each pickup or the MEC two band EQ.
