Pro Tool tests with my corvette bubinga active

Hello there,

I was having fun testing my brand new m-audio soundcard and pro Tool SE the other day using my corvette bubinga active and I just want to share you the result and some of the sounds you can get from that great bass !! It was a quick test so it's not so tight but, not so bad...

I recorded direct from the bass through the sound card, and just cut a little tiny bit of bass from the onboard preamp of the bass. the pan control is a bit more on the bridge pickups...
3 bass tracks with the same wick: one clean on the left, the one on the right is the same (copy) than the left but with some LFO modulations and delay.. (all effects added directly in pro tool) then I recorded a solo track on top and added dist and delay with pro tool again... Then I built the drum track and keys in the software, this was a long process... lol

pretty different than what I do with my bands(death melodic metal kind...), I think I had the new Primus in the head while doing this...

ChrisK => Yes I see your point... but it always sounds better when it's tight !! lol

I'll do a comparative between my 'vette and my SSII soon when I'll have a few minutes... Since I haven't the opportunity to try some in the shop around where I live, when I bought my SSII, I have found usefull and fun to have some kind of comparative clips between basses on u-tube or here, so you can catch the caracter of each basses and help choosing... So it would be helpful for someone else shopping for a warwick someday...
