ok so im thinking about getting the profet 5.1 with the pro 15 and a pro 211 cabs . and i gotta couple of questions.

first they are both 8 ohm cabs so that will be 4 ohm load, i got that, but will changing the load to 4 ohm affect the power handling of the cabs for more or less?

and also im looking at the head and there is only 1 speakon output. so i would have to connect one cab using the speakon and the other with the 1/4 right?

this is the first head/cab purchase ive made so im kinda confused.
thanks

Hey Andy,
While the amp has one speakon output the cabs have two so you connect one cab to the amp & the 2nd cab connects to the first cab giving you a 4 ohm load, allowing the amp to run at it's full power. The 611 Pro cab is also a good match for the Profet as is the 411 Pro in 4 ohms.
Good luck & happy hunting mate.

thanks thumperton, i never thought about that. that makes so much more sense now, thanks. and i thought about the 411, but i just really want a 15 as well. just my personal preference

I plan to get the Profet 5.1 and my cab question is why get the WCA 410 at 8 ohms and the WCA 115 at 8ohms when u can get the full power with just ONE 4ohm cab eg the 411 at 4 ohms.....can someone tell me if there is a differance????

Its seems stupid gettin TWO cabs when you can get FULL POWER with only one cab, can some one answer this for me???

Thank:D

The power is one thing and the actual volume and pressure you get from your rig is another thing. It depends on some factors.
One of those factors is the surface that is moving the air. If you have two cabs at the same power, you will double the surface that is moving the air. So it will sound pretty much louder that with just one cab.

I'm thinking of starting off with a 115 - Then add a 210 - Then add a Profet 5.1 - Oh and a Wick fretelss would be nice - Damnit I need more cash - Either that or stop reading these forums

A full stack looks damn cool. Plus if something goes wrong with one cab, you have a spare 8)

I use a profet 5.1 with a 211 and a 115 cab, and I'm sorry now that I did'nt ordered a 411 or a 410 instead of my 211. So one of them is first on my purchasing list...depends on the cash when i'll decide.
