Preamp/DI pedals do we really need them?

My Mark Bass doesn't do dirt. Has an incredible slap tone though, which is probably why Casey likes his "unadulterated"!

Along with everything else I do... I think I like my Markbass as much as I like my Warwick... I think I'll rename my cats Warwick and Markbass...
