Poweramps for basspreamp

Hello
Witch poweramp are good for bass
I wont to put my trace elliot hexa valve preamp to a poweramp, witch are good ? (Crown, OSV,) I need about 2x 350/400 watts to 4 ohm or 800/1000 watts briged.
Can anybody tell me witch poweramp are to best for bass??
(Deep, full, clear, sound whit lost of pressure!!)

Hi Andre,

I think any decent PA power amp will do a good job for bass. If you want quality, then a dedicated bass power amp like the HELLBORG MONO POWER 500 will be hard to beat :-)
 
the hellborg stuff is sweet but hurts the wallet.i know some guys and they swear by crown amps.i used to use a old ev power amp that was great but i don't think they make it any more.it was 600 watts mono to 8ohms and it rocked i would slave it off my peavey combo and run it through to altec lansing cabs loaded with ev evx 15,s and use the combo as a moniter.worked great just sucked to move around.i have been going through different bass amps and still haven't found one i like an can afford i'm going to try a sans amp pre with a crown power amp next and see how that gos well good luck with your hunt.

How it sound, you have enough pressure down below??? dOES IT REALLY PUSH WHIT LOTS OF bASS???

i have the crown on a payment plan with the local store so i don,t have it yet.. but the guys i know who have crowns love them so thats why i'm taking a shot.i already have a sansamp pedal so i'm hoping this will give me the sound i'm looking for.i'm going to run it through two hartke 4-10 cabs.

LD Systems SP 600
is at the moment the best for use whit Bass
Does anbody know this poweramp??
Or has expirience whit it??

I power my Demeter preamp with a Crown XTi 4000 stereo power amp. That amp is rated at 1200 watts @ 4 ohms I believe. I use only the first channel to push an Aguilar GS 410 cabinet. My Warwicks sound so good through it!!
 
I just got a QSC powerlight PL325 for my hellborg pre amp and it sounds amazing. 1700 watts bridged at 8ohm or 2500 watts bridged into 4ohms. I looked at a few options and this was the best. I did not try the hellborg purly because of the weight factor. I had the option to take one home to demo but could not be arsed carrying it to my car ha ha . The QSC is half the weight and lots more power. About the same price but im lucky enough to work in pro audio so a bit cheaper. I looked at crown but did not want DSP, Hellborg pre into top of line QSC pro touring amp = Epic!
