Hi,
Does somebody here use power conditioners in your racks? Furman for example, or smth. similar. They are supposed to provide some protection, is that true according to your experience?

I am thinking of some protection for my amp.

thanks in advance!

Yes, I have the Furman PL-8 II. I bought mine before they reached (and now went over) the $100 mark, so it was a no brainer. They are absolutely still worth it though. If you tour or play shows, they're almost essential. It only takes one power surge to fry everything...

Hi!
thanks, I just wanted to hear at least on owner/user comment on this, as most reviews on the net are pure marketing and you never know who to believe!

there are pretty controversial opinions on the net. some say furman powe p.c. acts more as power distributor, others say that protection is essential and pl 8 is the best and cheapest solution. (costs way more than 100$ here in Europe)
I guess I will get me one, as my tubepath blew a transistor fuse recently, it is now under warranty repair, but I have a strong feeling that it all was caused by a simple power surge and there is no guarantee this won't happen again unless I put smth. in between as protection. plus gigs and tours - you never know.

I use a Furman PL-8 II as well. It's the cheapest form of insurance you can buy for your rig. Trust me on this.

Worth Having.

I have the Furman PL-PRO SERIES II POWER CONDITIONER. It has saved my rack on more than one occasion.
