pondering a custom warwick build

i was thinking about a custom warwick but i dont know how the whole pricelist works. i pretty much want a p-nut with AAAA koa top and matching head stock with custom inlays with LED's. i wanted the lotus flowers starting on the first fret and all the way to the 12th and then some custom koi fish inlay for the rest of the board. like two at the bottom of the board. the question comes in what should i look at as far as price for the options i want to do to the p-nut.
 
I recon with custom inlays you would need to get a quote from warwick directly. with the rest, get the price for a P-nut and start adding your options

you have to start with a regular model

signature models cannot be customized (unless you are a super star:-)

so then its a SSII to begin with?
 
well you take the model that with basic price + mods leads to the lowest price.

In this case probably a Stage 2:-)

thats what i was wondering. but to be honest. some of the mods are rediculously priced.

i understand a high price for a custom instrument. but 6 grand for a koa top???? 270.00 for a mini toggle switch??? 500.00 for a SD 3 band eq??? isnt that a lil much you can buy a ♣♣♣♣load of mini toggle switches for 270.00, and a SD 3 band eq cost like 100.00 roughly. and im sure i can buy a nice koa wood blank for under a grand. does anyone know if they really stick to these prices or whats the deal with the rediculous pricelist?

i was looking at something like these for the inlays. i think a couple on the board with some lotus flowers would be sweet.
 
Are those prices accurate? The base for the SSII is really $7250? P-Nut IIIs sold for $6k new!
 
If you have a problem with the prices mentioned in the list, you better don't ask for a quote for illuminated custom inlays :)

You can't get a quote from Warwick anyhow, only at a dealer - so: "no, warwick doesn't stick to this list", the question is if your dealer does.

According to the pricelist here the price dirtty420boy mentioned is correct. However this is a retail price and from what I have understood "real" prices are always lower than those mentioned in the pdf document. Perhaps Florin could give us more info ?
 
well i understand paying for the inlay i just dont understand charging over 200 for a toggle switch. Thats 2-3.00 part not 270.00. That would be 540.00 list price for 2 little switches. I mean if they are made of solid gold and diamonds i can settle for a plain old toggle switch lol

It is more than just the pricelists... you need to talk with a specialist that can guide you through all the CS options.

Also yes, the real life prices are lower than the "recommended prices"

So just use your phone, and talk with a good Warwick dealer, or with Tyler.

Simply configure your bass and ask 3 serious and experienced warwick dealers for a price quote
At the end I believe you will be offered a reasonable price:)
 
More than $18,000 for a bass?

Holy mother of crying baby jesus...
 
Don't jump to conclusions until you find out what it costs for real guys... The list price for a standard Warwick bass is much higher then its street price. The same goes for custom shop basses.
 
should i ask local dealers or is there some good online dealers i can ask to?
 
Seeing as you live in the US, and on the east coast, i reckon the NYC custom shop might just be the first port of call for you.
