I'm just about to order new pickups for my Fortress 1a 5 string (1994) but noticed that the MEC pickups are sold in different sizes for neck (91mm) and bridge (95mm).
In my bass (and also my Rockbass Corvette) both the neck and bridge pickups are the longer size (95mm). Is this because they are 5 string models? Is there any difference in the tone or output of the MEC j-style pickups Long & short models or will the bridge pickup be fine for both positions?
