Pedalboard Update

Here is the latest update of my bass rig pedalboard I call PedalLid, because it is mounted to the inside of my rack's rear lid for total portability:



I'm lovin' the Analog Man Mini BiComp, especially the Orange Squeezer side! And while the ZVEX Fuzz Factory sucks out the low end when engaged, the fuzz is like nothin' else I've found... and the gate keeps it dead quiet, to boot.

I still have my MXR M-80, but I'm using it as an outboard preamp/D.I. for other situations. My favorite of the all-in-one preamp/D.I. boxes fer sure!

All I need now is a Loooper with a Blend knob to blend my bass' clean signal with the ZVEK's fuzz, but the guy who make Looopers has carpel-tunnel, so he ain't makin' them no more... :(

Cool setup. When I was gigging (never do that again, talk about the job from Hell) I just played straight into the amp. I was a clean signal snob. That was about 680 years ago mind you, now I'd have some effects. Course back then bass specific effects cost more than my frickin' guit (a Ric), and other units introduced so much noise I wanted to disembowel myself. Now I simply play for fun, and for the cats, they're actually pretty harsh critics :D . I just got my first effect ( and only likely) a Digitech BP200. Haven't had a chance to try it, but it's built like a tank, we always used Digitech stuff in the band years ago with great luck. I'll let you know how it sounds. Hoping to get to try it this week.

Yes, the Mini Bi-Comp rules - I thought the Red (ROSS) side would be my favorite, but the Orange (Orange Squeezer) side is the one I gravitate towards!

I tried Loop Master, but didn't find the right looper/blender switch; instead, I have one on order from Red Onion ().

I used to have a DigiTech BP200 and it was actually quite a good unit. Held up like a bullet-proof tank and sounded really good for bass. 8)

Great to hear, I was hoping to get into it this week, but I've had stuff to do every one of my days off, and yesterday torqued my back out. May be a few more days now. :cry:

yes! ive been looking for a dual latching footswitch without an inbuilt cable and a signal splitter for a while but havnt been able to get them. this place sells both and is even based in the uk. wehey!!! :D

this guy is ACE! we've exchanged a few e-mails and he can build exactly what i want and its only going to cost 60 ish pounds :). by the way im after a unit with four latching footswitches and an inbuilt splitter with a mute on each of the two splitter outputs
 
Yeah, TJ at Red Onion has been so friendly and easy to work with via email, I almost forget that he isn't employed by Warwick/Dana B. Goods!

I like it that you can get just about any conceivable footswitch/loop pedal built to order for boutique quality at bargain price!
 
My Red Onion Loop and Blend pedal arrived today. I have to tweak it a bit, as it is passive circuitry and the ZVEX Fuzz Factory really interacts with other effects.

Nice :D TJ is making my pedel next week when hes got these switches he needs.

I'm always overwhelmed with the amounts of effects out there - Even though I have some I still mainly play clean tone - Looks like you have a fun setup though
