the wife may kill me but what the hey :D

a while back i stated on here that i didn't like streamers,er..... well i just bought one:x
i was browsing Thomann's website & accidentally bought a Pro Series Streamer LX4,you know like you do.
i am a big fan of the PS basses & love the maple neck on my Thumb so thought what the hell lets have a Streamer to go with it.
years ago i owned a German Streamer LX,but like the silly young fool i was i sold it on,always regretted it & the PS kinda reminds me of that bass.

I got the six string. Great basses for the money. Lacks the growly character of a german Wengé monster tho.
Still, I like it a lot!

Indeed! Buy her a nice Warwick Infinity! She will not play it? Do it for her! Get an amp for the living room! ;)

I was VERY tempted to buy a PS fretless Corvette from Thomann, but finally I could control myself and came up with the mantra:
"wait for a cheap, second hand, german-made ´vette STD"

"wait for a cheap, second hand, german-made ´vette STD"

"wait for a cheap, second hand, german-made ´vette STD"

i did think of doing just that but (i'll most likley get banned for saying this :) ) i'm not too keen on ovankol or wenge necks :eek:
i much prefer a maple neck & the chances of me being abled to afford a stage 1 are zero,plus i really like my PS Thumb it is one of the nicest basses i have ever played.
i figured the Streamer should be just as nice but give a more old school "thumpy" sound with it having a P bass pickup there.

my bass arrived yesterday & i am very pleased with it,sounds very nice indeed,punchy + very articulate.
build quality is excellent,the only minor thing i could complain about it the neck pocket it not the tightest i have seen but still ok for me.
all in all for £510 delivered i am a happy man,will take some pic's when i can be bothered,in fact i need to take pic's of all 3 of my PS Wick's.
i have now bought 3 PS Warwick's in the last 6 months taking advantage Thomann's clearance prices :D
my Corvette was £544.00
my Thumb was £695.00 (even cheaper now if you are quick)
my Streamer was £510.00

good buys i think.

really loving the Streamer,i got the action at 1.4mm @12th on the G with no rattles at all.
it plays really nice & has a lovely punchy rich sound,i am very happy with it,could become my no.1 bass.
