Someone must have emailed him. He changed the add already. Still don't think it's a one of a kind though...
 
He says it's one of a kind bacause the USA only imports the $$ NT in bubinga.The ash version has to be ordered.I seriously doubt it's the only one in the entire United States though.

Good point. And it is most definitely not the only one in the US. I played one in nirvana black coming up on a year ago...

You know what I don't get? How these 'online bass shops' think that someone is going to drop $2k on a bass that not only can't they play before ordering, but they are only providing one small picture! It's an NT and no picture of the back of the neck to body joint? And they wonder why they relist dozens of times to get any attention! :evil:

Actually, this is from The Bass Place, where I bought my Dirty Blonde, my SWR Goliath III cab, and my Genz-Benz Shuttle. They have been really good to me with deals and helping me choose gear. They know I'm a huge Warwick fan and they give me free Warwick SWAG, like a hat, a Thumb mouse pad, Black Label strings...

It was either Dennis or Lee who told me the same thing about that bass when they got it in last year. They handed it to me to hold and it is incredibly light as a feather! :shock:

They buy all their Warwicks outright from Dana B. Goods and this is what DBG told them, that it was the only ash/maple NT in the US. They had it priced in the store for about $23-2400.00, if I remember correctly.

I will personally vouch that they are a great dealer, they personally take care to clean and tune each bass in their store on a consistent basis (I've seen them doing this), and they are a great team who look after their customers.
 
That's cool, I'm definitely more likely to trust a place that I can get a little buyer history on. But the fact that you live in AZ and can go there doesn't change my point (no offense). Why only post one picture? I dunno, maybe I'm way off base. I'll go now... :lol:

Oh, I agree. No matter how good a dealer is, people will perceive them by their advertising. The same goes for bands. Ya gotta present yourself better than your competition...

I don't know what the deal is with their photos, but they are a 4-man store with a lot of gear to photo, so I suppose it's hard to do more. You can visit their site at: www.thebassplace.com and see what they got. I'm sure if an interested party were to email them, they'd take a few more pics. I will also say that they don't stock that many Warwicks (well, they did get a nice stock of post-NAMM Katanas in) and probably do more sales of Fender than anything else, but they do have some nice high-end stuff too.
 
Dude, my Kinal came from there too! It was prior to my owning it, but the back of the headstock has a small blue sticker on it that says 'The Bass Place' with their adresss etc on it.

Never been to or heard of the shop beyond that, but my Kinal is luuuurvly. :)

But again, that info is what Dana B. Goods is telling Dennis and the guys at The Bass Place at the time when they first bought the bass from DBG. Perhaps more ash NT have come into the States now, but as of what they were last told, this is or was the only one.
 
It was also listed as a NT Rockbass $$ when I posted the topic. That's why I said these guys were full of crap. I think they had just made a mistake in their listing...
