Hi I am new to the forum and need some help and advise. I inherent a Framus guitar from my father in law. It is as far as I could find on this web page a Framus Risota 5/58. I am brand spanking new to music instruments. I love music and love to listen to any body that plays any thing because I can not....... until four weeks ago I decided I am going to learn to play this guitar.
It is going very well and I decided to ask you guys for some help.

I want to fully restore it to its as original as possible condition. I am looking for new tuners the turn knobs that adjust the strings, there is a insert on the string side of the head in the hole where the turning knob goes through the head. What is the perfect strings for this guitar, and where the head and the neck meet is a guide that spaces the strings the E and A groove is broken and was fixed with some sort of putty. I would really appreciate any help. :lol:

O my goodness, could you please help me how to upload the photos, I am a idiot when it comes to this funny stuff. I clicked the insert image icon and it is asking a URL, what is that.

Wehn you post a reply click on "Go advanced" then "Manage attachments" It should be easy from there :-)

Like I said I am a bit slow I did try to upload the photos but the upload failed every time.If you look at the link Alexandre posted on this thread and look at the guitar selection and select archtop and select model 5/58 or Rosita the picture that they are using there is exactly a copy of what my guitar looks like.
 
I edited your post :-) Well, Alexandre could help you more than me, since he is there at the factory, I suppose you knew already the Framus Vintage website.

Anyway, the reason I asked you pictures is that Framus where very inconsistent in specs, at one time they even mixed different necks and bodies, and parts... Chaos !

I cannot find on our website the right tuners for you, the closest are those: Sound of Wood - Mechaniken mit Metallachse, vernickelt FRV MECH 3 NI

I am not sure I understand the rest of your problems, some pics would help :-) You can email the pics and your questions to Mr Christian Hoyer - [email protected] , he is a really nice and helpful person, Framus Vintage specialist.
