Old fret to the slapping

Hi guys,

Do you think the old fret makes slapping sounds thiner ? my Thumb 5 NT is 1990 bass, last time I took it to the shop, they said the fret is so played, I am thinking if it will sound better after refret......

What is your idea?

i think it would make a significant change in the tone, new frets are always going to sound better than old worn out ones. especially if the old frets are going on 19 years old.

Are the frets grooved?worn?
Warwick frets are very hard,how many vintage models do you see with great frets & some of them are 20 years old.If you do get it re-fretted,use W fret wire.
