I'm looking around to buy a bass of the first series Warwicks ever made, the Nobby Meidel. But in my search I want all the info I can get..
So give me your knowledge, let's make a complete overview of options.. maybe a sticky?
I searched the forum already and gathered some info, but alot of it is spreaded around in different topics and posts.

Seems Warwick also gave an option for a Nobby with leds, interesting huh? Never saw one though. Also I noticed alot of differences wood types in Nobby's, rosewood body's, wengé body's, necks with a maple strip in the middle and necks without..

Some more info:

Seems that there were around 987 basses made.

Although some of the information in the pictures doesnt come right for every nobby meidel bass, take a look at forummember nmbass his nobby:

I like the English text: "massive palisander-wood" means solid rosewood, right?

I just bought the Nobby from forum member Klemens (nmbass). A really nice guy and a great bass!
I guess it's from around 1984, (can someone confirm??) It's number 642.

great great great!!!! i wanted to write you a pm because i've found two nobbies here in switzerland but they were a bit expensive. lucky to see you found what you wanted. you're starting a great arsenal;)
 
Hi,

the model was built from 82-92 afaik

in total 984 instruments

so I'd say this was built 86-88 but who knows:-)
