New Preamp for my Thumb NT5.

I put a OBP-3 into my thumb NT6 and after two weeks it died a slow painfull death, i sent it back and put the original back in and to my suprise it sounded a lot better. The midrange was just clearer /nicer . I think people get excited about the OBP because of the 40Hz boost. I got the OBP replaced under warrenty but sold it as i liked the MEC one better, In saying that i upgraded the op amps on teh MEC board to higher spec and i did it with a socket type connector so you can hot swap op amps to audition different ones. The ones i have at the moment draw around 11.5 miliamps, Yep clear costs current. I have 18 volt setup so not a big deal batteries still last ok ish ha ha If i get over the batteries not lasting i can just put some other ones in that dont draw as much current. I also totaly incased the pre amp board in copper as i often listen/play to my bass through high end studio monitors and could notice some hum issues which i have now resolved.
 
ah there is a preamp from bartolini which were made for thumbs. checkout the webshop!

I'm thinking about going with a Glock in my Rockbass, mainly I want maximum punch and tone without changing the sound of my pickups too much. I'm also going to have it setup with two 3-way switches just like the German made. I thought about Bart but I have an Ibanez with that already, I really would like to have more attack and thunder (if that makes sense).

Side note: Anyone know the spacing of the switches on the German made, I know the originals are soldered to a circuit board but I'm just going to go with two free standing switches.
