My name is Craig, and I am new here and to Warwick basses actually. Just wanted to say hi. Well, a little about me..... I work in IT, been playing in bands since I was a teenager(wish I still was one... ha!) I like alot of types of music, both to listen to and perform. I play guitar as well as bass, both 6 and 12-string(mostly electric). Have been playing in a particular band now, off and on since 93'. We used to be all originals band, were signed to Joan Jett's Blackheart Records label (we know her personally and she sings on one of the songs on our old CD) and we used to open for her all the time in the early to late 90's. We've also played with a lot of cool musicians over the years, like Ray Manzarek, Steve Lukather, and others such as David Bryan from Bonjovi. We last played with him a few years ago, we've even played with Peter Tork(from The Monkees) every year, he's a pretty darn good musician actually. So, it's been a wide variety and lots of fun, these days we do pretty much all cover songs now.
For bass, I've always used Fenders and my old 88' Rickenbacker 4001v63(think I am going to retire it now, it's seen 21 years of use and I don't want something to happen to it), but was looking to get a different sound and feel now. I went a few weeks ago to a local music store here and saw a used Warwick bass that was Bubinga, thought it looked amazing so decided to test it out. it's a 4 string Thumb BO and man, it felt and sounded amazing, blowing my other basses out of the water actually. I played that thing for about 30 or 40 minutes and slapped a deposit on it right away. I will have it pretty soon. It barely looks used at all, got it for about $700, is that a decent price for this bass? I also found a Bubinga Corvette Standard 4 string I really liked a lot, I think the sound from that is closer to what I am looking for. it's used as well, but also very clean, just a few dings which doesn't bother me. Got that for $650, so again, not sure if that is a good price, sounded reasonable anyways. I should have that one in about a week. I will post pics of them as soon as I can. I'm not sure I am going to keep both, money is a bit tight right now, but we'll see. I will A/B them more to see which bass I prefer and make a decision then, maybe I will keep both though! Anyways, just wanted to say hello to everyone here and can't wait to start gigging with these Warwicks! :d

It is a great bass anyway, and the price is very good in my opinion. Same for the bubinga corvette.
