its got a maple body, instead of the ash or bubinga you get on the vette standard
 
It really does. It also is useally paired Active/Active. Overall, its probably my dream bass. Nice that I own my dream bass eh?
 
Warwick or Fender Jazz Bass

You have to be careful with Fenders make sure your buying the one you play there tends to be a big difference in quality control.Also Fender bridges are crap,I've upgraded every Fender I've owned to a good aftermarket bridge.Warwick's on the other hand don't need any upgrades and there QC is spot on.Warwick's also sound woodier and have that growl that sounds cool.

You're right about the Fender bridges... I changed the bridge on my US P-bass for a Hipshot. I know the bent bit of metal they use for bridges has "stood the test of time" for 50 years... but I think they could do a bit better. Their Highway 1 basses now have Badass bridges (as well as the "greasebucket" passive eq)... I'd be interested to try one out!
 
Warwick Forum Index -> Warwick Clips there is a 4 stringer ash body vette passive clip to listen. :D and you'll also find slap clips if u search a little, and of course there is a fretless bubinga corvette too there.

whats this "greasebucket" EQ?
 
I've only read about it in reviews - it's a single passive tone control - but it rolls off the treble without the bass becoming too boomy or muddy. The reviews I've read (can't remember where) seem to think it works well for a passive bass. Maybe there's more on the Fender web site.
