New finish/design for 86 Streamer

Here's what it looked like until last night:



I never really liked the colour - I only bought it back in the day because noody else wanted the bass so I got it with a huge discount. But now a friend of mine who is a really good and professional airbrusher offered to give it a new finish - an offer I couldn't refuse ;)

Here's the progress thus far:



















Work in progress... He threatened to "make it funky"... :lol:
 
Wow this is amazing!! Uber cool! By the way, you might want to think about leaving the back of the neck without color, so you can move smoothly over the wood..

Yes, I think it's kinda neat :)
The back of the neck has always been painted, so I am used to that feeling.
 
Update: Don't ask me why the bass changes it's colour and appearance constantly - I guess the painter knows why. Hopefully so... ;)

I first thought you did not like the original colour because it was too... let´s say... 80´s... and you wanted something more "traditional", but no, you actually like it funkier!! :)

Looking good so far.

Bootsy's style definitely is the inspiration here. He's trying to make the design his own after all.
