We have come up with three ideas. here's the myspace so you can get a taste of what we sound like.
we're currently The Perfect Collision, but i think we've outgrown that, though the logo is cool.

no comments? pleaseee... it's quite the pressing issue for us as we're recording our demo and we have at least 4 shows in the next month.

i voted American Attire, but i think a band name should be decided by the band mambers not a bunch of people on a forum. :D

we've narrowed it down to these three so we're doing a popular vote now because we're inept at making decisions!

I like The Perfect Collision better...

Me too :-)
this really does surprise me. whenever i look at that name i see a bad metal cover band... and we're not [very] metal and we're not a cover band [anymore]. HMM!!!

food for thought. thanks for the comments!

Maybe I shouldn't have said anything, my band is called 'Saoshyant', which no one can pronounce or spell...

But I do like TPC.

Stay with the Perfect Collision...I first saw it on your sig a few months back, and I've always thought it was a cool name.

If you really don't like it, it could be worth changing, but I really don't like the other options as much.

I like the perfect collision the best as well... But if you really wanna change it I'd say American Attire :)

I cast my vote for the perfect collision... doesn't sound like a metal cover band to me... it has more of a rock feel to it...

Well,,,i dont know what music you play (no speakers at work), but all of the names in the poll gave me the impression of a folk-rock band, fiddles and harmonicas and such.

The Perfect Collision is a stayer.

don't change it. I don't like any of the new names as much as the one you've got now.

i too think that you shouldn't change the name, 'The Perfect Collision' is the perfect name

I agree with the others. Your current band name sounds better then the ones in the poll. Also, you already have 357 Myspace friends, so plenty of people know you guys as your current name. Changing it now might confuse a good number of your fans.

Agreed +infinity

I was in a band that experienced a good deal of success at a local level, but shared the same name as a band in the UK.

We changed our name because of that (against my wishes) to something pretty awful (we had to do it quickly).

The result was that we totally alienated our local fans (who were OUR audience), lost all the brand reputation we had built and let a fantastic studio album slip under the radar unnoticed. This pretty much ended the band, rendering the whole process pointless.

So, don't do it if you really REALLY don't need to...

I'd change it to The Perfect American Attire. TPAA all the way.

we are kind of southern rock... but i get your point.

thanks to everyone else. i'm pretty sure the name staying won't fly with the band... but it's worth a try.
