Can anyone give me some info on these cabs? Particularly the 410 and the 115. I have a chance to pick both up at a good price and was wondering what other cabs out there that they could be compared to soundwise? I don't live near a dealer so unfortunately I can't try them out. Cheers!
 
I used neo cabs for a fair while before I even knew they were neo's.
If you can get some Warwick neo's at a good price, I'd say go for it.
 
What are they like? Do they have a fat low end or are they more tight and punchy?
 
They're reputed to be louder & more modern sounding. But I honestly cant tell. They sound clear & dont fart. That's about as technical as I get when it comes to speakers.

They sound different than regular cabinets, with more mids, and punchier. The low end is more than enough. As Greg said, if you don't AB with regular speakers I am not sure you feel any difference except that they are great cabinets.
 
Cheers for the replies guys. Are the cabs reliable build wise? If I decide to buy them I'll be taking a leap of faith as I can't try them out beforehand unfortunately. But I'm leaning heavily towards making the purchase. I'll be running an SVT 4 Pro and a Mesa Big Block 750 through them, pending which amp is needed for the gig at the time. My only worry is that they might be too bright sounding for me. I currently have GK Neo cabs but I don't like the sound of them due to the brightness of the cabs.
 
Then I say maybe it is a good idea not to buy them without trying first. They do sound different than the regular cabs.
 
Cheers again Florin. Have you played through GK Neo cabs before? Would you say they're similar sounding to the Warwick Neo's?
 
No, I have no experience with GK neo, but I've tried others and I found some similarities. They saund more "nasal" than regular cabs. However, the 1X 15 + 4X 10 Warwick is a good and balanced configuration.

But there is always a risk... maybe they don't suit your taste...
 
The sound coloration is often caused more by the cabinet itself plus the filtering (if any) and less by the speaker. Each cabinet brand and model has a distinguished sound color of its own, neo or not.
You MUST try some out and compare yourself because there's just too many parameters to sum up. Oh and bring your own bass!

Some older neo speakers have problems running hot, I wouldn't buy 2nd hand ones.
 
Iv just got a neo cab set up your after....

I took a leap of faith and went for them as they were at a stupidly good price...

The only real exp i have to compare them to is 150watt Marshall Combo Amp and Laney 165 Watt Combo amp, Which probally isnt fair

Havent got to grips with them just yet but there LOUD!!!! Mine sounded deepish but wouldnt say they have that phat bass'y sound!

My advice would be if your in a position where your ok with money and can buy them at a stupidly good price that you can then sell them on for and break even at least, then do it! Least that way youve kind of bit the bug and wont be wondering What if?

I'm new here although I've been playing bass for some time now.

Lately, I've been searching for a good stand-alone-cab which is still easy to handle for I am quite lazy ;)

The Style I'm playing is quite difficult: Like usual, I need to floor our Band, but at the same time, I need a lot of presence since I play a lot of lead-stuff and sometimes have more effect on the melodies of our songs than the guitar...

Would the 411 ND be a good stand-alone-cab? Or is it too weak in the lows? That would be my only worry...

Hi Tamashil!! Obviously the head you are running through the cab will also have a huge effect on the tone, but I would recommend the regular warwick WCA cabs, there's a great site called thomann.de thats selling Warwick cabs at a ridiculously low price, if you're looking for a new cab you should definately take advantage of some of the offers. I know Thomann and due to their offerings, I'm asking this question.
I also know the regular series, but they are too heavy and too big for me - that's why I was asking for the ND-Series.
Don't You think the ND-Series will do the job as good?

excuse my french but ♣♣♣♣ there stupidly cheep. i have a set of neo cabs but at that price, i think i might be tempted to get a set of the pros aswell or the xtreme head....

does any one know long are they going to stay that cheep? ahhhhhh thats actually amazing!!!!
 
I don't like the "typical" neo sound, such as the Berg AE, the Epi UL ...
I hate MB neo cabs
but I like the GB Uber, a lot

just goes to show you that they are as diverse as your good old ceramic

They don't really lack lows, but they have very strong mids. Maybe this is the same thing, haha!
 
well i get to use mine at a decent volume this new years eve, ill let you know how i get on ;)
