need your advices stack profet 3.2

hello, i'm new on that site ..
A very good feeling for all the bassists who choose Warwick to create music ..


i need a confirmation/infirmation

Recently i bought a profet 3.2 with a 4x10 cabinet ( w 410 pro ), the head works under 4 ohm, the cabinet under 8 ohm .

So i can obtain approx. 200 watts .

the question is :
by plugging a 1x15 cabinet ( w 115, for instance ), working under 8 ohms, i 'll obtain a stack working under 4 ohms .

But the head delivers 300 watts, and the cabinets 2x 300 watts ..

So the head will deliver all this power .

Is that will be sufficient or the lack of power presents a great risk of overheating for exemple ?

Is that stack a good idea ? i know, it will be more effective to put a 500 watts head or more, but i want to keep my head for the moment ..

So : keep the things as they are ( profet 3.2 + 4x10/300 w /8ohm )

or add a 1x15 cabinet ??

Your stack will work ok, you will not have problems. But yes, a 500W head would be better

id add the 115 that way you get more power than with just the 410 and its a combined power of 4 ohm's, sure you wont be able to get the full power but you will most likely get a head with more power down the track. it would be a good investment.

I'll add a w 115 , and in the future, perhaps change the head for a profet 500w or more ..

that stack uses in small clubs and music coffees, small scenes too, and 200w are sufficient, but when i play a chorus, i need more power to get a real playing comfort and to be clearly heard ..' and on a fretless you NEED to hear your instrument if you don't want to sound "blue" .. ( french expression for playing false !!! :lol:

Thanks for your help .. i'll add the w 115, and change the head in the future ..

I love the Buzzard, too ( the neck thru version ), but its price is a little prohibitive .. i've the thumb fretless neck thru ( 93 ), and a fretted B C Rich ( 83 ) which sounds really "roots", like the sound we had in the 60's / 70's . the next will be a 6 strings fretless, or/and a double bass, ..

I ran a 3.2 with a 211 (2x10) and a 115 (1x15) for a while, It sounded very nice. but it was underpowered.
