i reallllly need the money, my house is foreclosing, no food/water etc.

I like Callums idea about just being paid as a session player and not holding any rights on the song, then tour with them.
 
PB, if money is an issue, there are easier and more reliable ways than trying to force yourself into a band for the money.

Tbh unless they were seriously looking for a bass player you might have better luck elsewhere. If your set on making money from music. You could always look in classifieds for bands or people needing session work. Look in particular for function bands who need bass players - money is pretty good and the gigs are pretty fun as well.
 
I just put that sort of on back up right now. I got
some gigs, and i just bought logic. Money comes
in spurts in my house. haha i went to samash today
i went in with 150 dollars and 2 bass pedals. I came
out with 300 dollars and 1 pedal.
The guy ringing me up forgot to take my money, and
he gave me my change that i would've gotten if he
had taken my money. So i sold one of the pedals for 50
bux (the blowtorch) So the guy put my change money on
top of the money i was going to use to pay for the software.
So he just handed me back my money that i used to pay for the
software, and my change money (like 40 bux) and the store
credit. and another store credit from returns. So i made
money and got the software. WOOOOOOOT

Nice playing - the overall sound is well buried in the music though

regarding your quest to join her band:

-after 30+ years in music all I can say is If the band is something special then
rarely it is ever down to the playing, and never what gear you have

A successful band is made from people's personalities, ego's,creativity,
-musical presence i.e. each individual having something to say
leave a mark etc.
Bottom line - they all have to want you to be there with them
