so I've decided to get myself a corvette$$ as a present. but i cant decide what finish to get it in. the little square colour chips on the warwick site dont really give you an idea of what it will look like.

does anyone have some good colour pictures of them so i can see for myself.

Hello Dylan,

The internet is a great information source for this. Look for it in google in the same finish you want and you'll get a pretty close idea of what you'll get with the finished product.

these are all photos with finishes over an ash body (the same body wood as the $$ your after) or finishes that look the same whatever wood the body is made of

bassmonster's corvette (ash with burgundy red coloured oil)

bassmonster's rockbass (alder with ocean blue coloured oil but alder looks similar to ash)

Benedict's $$ (ash with nirvana black coloured oil)

Splinter's Thumb BO (seafoam green solid high polish - looks the same with whatever wood  )

Blockrocker's $$ (ash in antique tobacco coloured oil)

Basscisco's fortress (ash with a honey violin coloured oil (i think))

Munkeh's corvette (ash(i think) with emeraude green (i think) coloured oil)

Two of Joe's basses

Top photo is a $$ (ash with the nirvana black coloured oil). bottom one is another corvette (white solid high poish-looks the same with whatever wood)

jDub's $$ (ash with a honey violin stain high polish)

anarchyok's vette (ash with the natural oil)

https://imageshack.us

Another of jDub's corvettes (ash with a natural oil finish)

a thumb with the creme white solid high polish

Lunacy's katana (ash with the emeraude green coloured oil finish)

Marcbass's corvette (night flake blue finish)

Sage83's streamer (black chrome)

Mr top10's $$ (ash with burgundy red coloured oil finish)

djselbeck's corvette (ash with the natural oil finish). its been well used

Superduck's corvette (ash with the ocean blue coloured oil finish)

pikefloyd's corvette (i presume its a red solid high polish finish)

"the great thib in the sky"s natural oil corvette

hope these are some help to you

Tobacco looks awesome but that would be a custom shop order. You can get natural at the regular price. Keep us posted...

its gonna be about 2 months before i can get it but i figure if i have to special order it i will probably have to wait for at least that long. i'm also thinking about gold hardware as well.

yeah, quite impressive Stroud!
I was going to advice Dylan just to have a look in the "show us your bass then" topic but you did the job !
By the way thanks for puting mine.

I'd also like to add that a solution is too go to your dealer and just have a look (and a try) at the corvette $$ and simply fall in love with the finish they have in stock! That's what happened to me!
I also considered to order a tobbaco or a red, then I went to try a $$ and the one they had was a natural finish. I just couldn't come back home without her!!!

So, let those beauties seduce you :D anyway, look is one thing... SOUND is another expecially when we talk about Warwick.
