Hi guys,
I just acquired a small collection of vintage Framus guitars from the widow of a buddy of mine, who bought a number of them while stationed in Germany in the 60s, and picked up a few more while back stateside over the years. I am trying to get a few of them up and running, so you may see a few posts from me over the next few months as I try to figure things out. Anyway, first up is a cool 1965 Atlantic thinline archtop with two pickups and Framus on the tremelo tailpiece. It would be cooler except the body needs some work in the neck block area and also it is missing one of the three slide switches on the upper bout. These are significantly smaller than the typical Fender slide switches. Rather than make a new guard and use three Fender switches, is there a source for the original? Black, of course although at this point I would take a white one if I had to. US supplier preferred just due to the cost of shipping. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Hello jkchrome, and welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, even if the name is the same, today's Framus is a different company than the old Framus owned by HP Wilfer's father - Fred Wilfer. That's why we cannot 100% help with vintage parts, as we should I guess...
Please email me at [email protected], and I will try to forward your mail to the right direction, and I hope we will find some answers too.
Even some parts :-)

Cheers,
Flo
