Neck for a warwick body

Hey guys,

There's this warwick body that is on sale which I am thinking getting. The owner parted the bass out and sold the neck and parts.

I am thinking of getting the body and from there put together another bass. So then I would rout out my current ash vette and put in some big singles pups.

That way I would still have a bass to fall back on which is stock config.

Either that or if getting a neck from warwick turns out to be too much of a bother or too expensive, I was thinking of keeping both bodies loaded, and swapping necks between em both. Would that be a viable, workable option? They're both vettes.

Warwick does not sell necks or bodies separately. Your only chance of finding a neck is through a place like eBay.

Even if you were able to find a neck for the same body there's no guarantee it would fit properly. The reasoning behind someone parting the original bass out as parts seems a bit short sighted as it's worth more fully original and completely assembled. That is if in fact the bass wasn't damaged in some way or if the body isn't a counterfeit. Good luck with that one.

Hey! Be careful with that.
I had two Streamers LX5 - 2003 and 2008, colored oil and natural oil finishes. One of them had to be sold anyway. The first one felt more comfortable in my hands and the neck wood had an amazing grain. But as a natural finish lover I tried to swap the bodies and failed to do it cause the holes in the neck didn't match ones in the neck pocket of the other bass. It was about 2-3 mm difference.

Find a good luthier and get them to build a new neck for you

Thanks for the replies guys. I was assuming that if they're both vettes that the necks would be interchangeable with no issues. Now that I know they may vary, I'll have some serious considerations to make
