Neck exchanging

let's say i wanna swap my neck. it isnt defective per se, just slowly but surely warping in humid climate where i live, despite it being already sent for heat treatment (and in the process ruined the intonation in the upper register of the neck. I own several other basses with maple necks (incl my RB streamer) and the neck is still as straight as ever.

I love the feel of raw necks but i guess that's smth i have to forgo where i live.

so here's the deal, i want to exchange my corevette 5's ovangkol neck for a maple one (satin finished i hope). will the neck be considered defective which will qualify me for a neck exchange?

I thought about this while looking at the new price list, including the neck swap cost. What if you really want a new neck, can't you just brake your current neck ?? It seems stupid, but the only way to get a new Warwick neck from a different wood....................

You have to send Warwick the faulty neck & only then will they sell you a replacement neck.Unless it's under warranty,in that case it will more than likely be free(if your dealer is cool).

yeah, My Dirty Blonde 5 string had a screwed up truss rod, and Dana B Goods took excellent care of me. Heat set the neck and then gave a quick tweak of the truss rod and it finally engaged again. Had it back in two weeks!

i did heat treatment once, screwed up intonation on the G string above the 12th fret. and now everytime i turn the truss rod, it seems to have no effect. might be a worn out nut i dun know for sure.

but i detuned it and put a huge dehumdifier in its hardcase. hope it'll help some.

I asked Tyler about this a couple weeks ago and he said that they can't de-fret an existing neck due to serial number tracking. ~M~
