Neck bolt pattern

Does the Corvette STD. and Thumb Bolt-On have the same neck bolt pattern? Could a neck be transferred from the Vette to the Thumb?
 
I dont have a BO but I've noticed the patterns change from bass to bass & even from year to year,the heel looks different to me too.The Thumb is a contoured body while the Corvette is flat so a match up might be a long shot.Good luck with it anyway mate.
 
Yeah, I was thinking about that. The Vette is an 06 and the Thumb is an 03, if that helps.
 
I think there's only one sure fire way to find out,the hard way.Getting someone at the factory to compare might be a big ask,they tend to not encourage this sort of thing as it doesnt do their good name any favours.On the other hand it's your baby, :wink:
 
I e-mailed Dana B. Goods, see what they say. I've heard of people doing this before.
 
I think this subject has come up in the past.

I've never attempted to swap necks myself, and since the necks are fitted so snugly to the body on each individual bass, there may be some problems when attempting this.
 
They are close, but not an exact match. We make the holes on the body with the CNC machine, but we don't make holes on the neck until we put the neck intro the body, which lets us use the same holes drilled in the body to drill the ones on the neck and fit the screws in it.
