Did I just spot a VOX amp?

Wow Marco, well spotted! And in the mess that is my study!
The little Vox is for my guitar. Saying that, when I need to play bass very quiet and without headphones, I use the Vox. It's clean and acoustic settings work good enough.

The real bass stuff is at the back of the room so you don't really get to see them in the photo. Maybe I should take a family photo.

Congratz ... lookz kewl man ! ... 8:

Nice one Turxile! Tell us all about it!

:D

Oh yes... Yesterday I was too happy to tell about it..
I think I had a GAS attack after all the talk about the new Warwick features :)
Came across this one on sale and bought it on the spot. Rather cheap.
It's a 3/4 size, carved top and back. Solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides, ebony board, etc. Pretty standard features, and a reliable average sound. Nothing extraordinary but good enough for my purposes. It's made in China but the build quality is good.
The weak points are the bridge and the tailpiece. I'll replace both as soon as the parts arrive, and it should be a decent bass.

Last time I had one was 22 years ago! Mind you I also stopped playing EB for a 15 year period as well.
I can play an EB 6-7 hours no problem. But my fingers give in after 15 mins on the DB. I should build the finger strength soon. On the plus side, I was happy to find that I still have the basic technique and passable intonation. Give me 6 months and I'll be ready to gig it.

You're right the more I play the more I like them. I still prefero the pizz strings but I'll keep them for now and see how it goes.

Very nice! I think you'll be ready to gig it in 6 weeks, not 6 months!

:D

:)
Now that would be ex excellent. It's really up to building finger strength. The downside is low stamina reduces practice time.
