NBD for me. Got this hybrid bass that I just could not pass up. Saw it posted and went and picked it up. The guy had bought a Fretless $$ and a Custom shop FNA(so he claimed). The FNA had a crazy white sparkle paint job and a Wenge neck with Ebony fretboard. He decided to merge the two and create this! I always wanted to buy a $$ and put a Wenge neck on it! I was shocked to find one!
Anyways I bought it with the intention of fixing it up and selling it. Not sure when I will post it but at some point it will pop up on here. For now I will enjoy playing it! The sound is awesome with the Wenge ebony combo. A little different from other $$s I have played.
The headstock paint looked like an amateur did it. The logo was messed up and I thought I saw the stock Warwick cap underneath it. I sanded it down and was right! Turned out greAt!
I replaced the neck screws with black ones, cleaned the body up, sanded the neck and headstock, oiled both, cleaned the frets, new strings and a setup!
I would like to track down a $$ truss rod cover and black tuners and maybe a brass nut (if anyone has either for sale let me know! Also a brass Jan I would be awesome)
