This is overdue, but here it is :)

I bought this bass after selling my 2004 LTD to Twinjazz. He sent me a link to this bass, and long story short, it's mine!

I love the sound, the feel and it looks great! The bass is about 99% new. There is one microscopic dent, and a small scratch on the headstock. That's it! I bet this bass was kept in some dark and lonely closet for the past several years. NO MORE!!! This bass was meant to be played! If it gets nicked along the way, well that's fine with me!

I'd I wanted something to stay perfect and be minty fresh forever, then I'd collect art. :)

Fantastic bass!! I had two over the years, freaking amazing instrument!

I'd love to try one of these. How does the tone compare to a standard thumb BO?

I have only played a standard thumb BO a couple times. I think it sounds more crisp and defined. Definitely a very smooth sounding instrument as well, also gets growly when provoked. It's hard to explain :) Just try one :)
