I've been part of a contemporary acoustic group for over a year now and we have been writing original music for sometime. Except, we don't have a band name yet!

Please do head to

Listen to the songs put up and suggest band names for us :)

Lots of goodies for the suggestion we use!

There's a local band here called "Super 400".

Altho they've been together about a decade,
they've never matured. Many years and some
CDs under the bridge and over the dam, and
it's still a Kiddie Bar band it always was. Credit
where it's due: They are plenty loud and seem
to make plenty money. I am NOT saying that
they sound bad, just ... well ... the same old.

I should mention, in case you don't know, that
a "Super 400" is an exotic Gibson geetar. What
I'm a tryin to do is to warn you against naming
a band after an ax. It's like a curse, that you'll
be loud gearheads and never grow musically.

Anywayz, think of a word that describes what
you can do with a Thumb [bass], and use that
as a foundation for the new band name. Avoid
the curse of the in-joke, gearhead, Kiddie Bar
band name.
