So I left for Anaheim on Friday afternoon to go to a band trip.
I played in all the bands that I was in and I had an upright bass
solo. I was in 4 bands. Intermediate Jazz Combo, Jazz Big Band I, Percussion Ensemble, Concert Band.

The awards ceremony was last night and all the schools there all 30 of them
all hate my school cause we won every single award.

Lab Combo Silver.
Combined (supersized) Combo Silver.
Intermediate Combo Silver.
Big Band II Silver 3rd.
Advanced Combo Gold 2nd.
Big Band I Gold 1st.
Percussion Ensemble Gold 1st.
Concert Band Gold 1st.
Bobby Thayer Maestro Award. (best solo)
Brian Phillips Maestro Award. (best solo)
Eddie Pimentel Maestro award. (best solo)
All 4 adjudicators award. (the band the judges liked the best)
And the highest score of the night Big Band I 99.87%

good night, and I got over my fear of rollercoasters...and then I threw up
because of eating clam chowder and chocolate milk and chocolate cake...not a good decision

I'M SOOO HAPPY 6 hours of band a day for 8 months...worth it haha :d:d:d

haha thanks man. except for my blister popped in the middle
of my solo i burnt through the layer of krazy glue hahaha
 
Congratulations Kyle, I know it was a big effort for you this year, and you deserve it. There is no such a thing like work without results.

Cool. My weekend involved travelling almost 1000 miles.

thank you all. Now i have to start my homework so i can go to sleep early for my 6am jazz rehearsal tomorrow.

and marching band is starting again soon :d soo happy. I miss drumline and pit...good friends.
I know i'm gonna miss it so much when i'm out of high school sad :(

I'm just glad i realized that i have to cherish this now :d

Like i'll just listen to my regiment ballad and it makes me happy and sad. I attached it just in case you wanted
to hear it, I just miss it and I'm glad i get to do it again for 2 more years hopefully. I love music

good job and blisters suck i'm glad i haven't had one for years now my fingers just get numb after a few hours of playing hard.

Right On Kyle.... Proud of you Bro.! Yea, you're exactly right, cherish these moments, for no matter what you do in the future, you're only young once. I still remember playing in the schools stage band way back when I was in school and I remember our music teacher, Mr. Parent .. Bob Parent as a matter of fact. Those were great times. and Take Pictures Bro .... As a kid I always shied away from cameras and never bothered taking pictures ... Huge Mistake.... Take Pictures every chance you get!

Anyway, sounds like you had a great weekend and were all very proud of you!
