Last night I practiced with the active mode on my Corvette $$ and found it is sick...

1)
When I turned the bass and treble knobs, it sound like I'm blowing to the mic. So I muted all string and just turned the knobs, it had the same blowing sound.

2)
If I boost of the bass frequencies, it will actually cut the whole bass sound.

3)
I need to turn the volume knob to maximum in order to get little sound.

4)
I tried a brand new battery and different lead but still have the same problem.

Oh no~ I can't believe it happens to my Warwick...

Anyone can help me?

:((

Hmm..I`Ve had similar problems with other basses, but it`s usually something with the electricity/grounding rather than the bass. Have you tried plugging your amp in another power-outlet?

I'm a little concerned, $$'s having problems have been quite a typical thing lately :/

Thanks Charmand G and Trey.

I will try plugging the amp to different outlet tonight.

If still have problem, does it mean I need to get it fixed or I need to change the whole pre-amp?

Take it into a music shop & see how it performs there.Preferably the shop you bought it from,if you bought it from a shop that is.
If it's still acting up,a staff member might be able to advise you the best course of action to take.
It's all but impossible for us here to be able to offer you useful advice going only by the description of what it's doing.
Good luck mate.

Thank you for your advices everyone~

Glad that it still have passive mode.
