Well the Bich arrived today and I just spent the past couple hours remembering why I never claim to be a guitar player. Anyway, it arrived today and I have to say that it is alot better playing condition than I thought it would be.
The action is actually pretty nice but the intonation needs a little work. I can already tell I hate the bridge. Its two piece, and while I can adjust each saddle back and forth for intonation it does not allow for individualy string height adjustments or spacing adjustments between the strings.
The pickups are definately better than I thought they were going to be, but sometime down the road I think a new set would be nice, possibly some SD's or I do like EMGs on guitars.
The neck and frets seem to be in real good shape, but the machine heads appear to be pretty cheap. Again, down the road a better set of machine heads would be nice, but for now these will serve their purpose.
I knew when I bought it that there was a "gouge" w/ chipped paint on the back of the body, but it doesnt appear to be as bad as the seller made it out to be, but it is worse than I thought it was going to be from looking at the picture. A complete refin would be nice, but I think I can fix it, so the initial plan is just to do the spot repair. I'll try to dig up my camera and take some pics of the repair process so if it comes out good I can show ya what I did. If it turns out like crap, I'll just delete the pics and say, what ya mean, it was that way when I got it ... lol
Anyway, it's home, and is a much better player than I thought it would be and will serve its purpose nicely, so I am happy.
