Hi all,
I'm new to the forums and posted about a week ago looking at differences between the Streamer LX and SSII. During my search I came across a P-Nut I (#20/51). I couldn't pass it up. I purchased it from a seller in Texas (I'm in CA), but was assured that it was in near mint condition. I can't even contain my excitement. I've spent a lot of time on the forum over the last few weeks, and have to say that all of your input dating years back has been very insightfull. Thank you all for your help - even if you didn't know about it! It's great to be a part of this community.

Anyway, it should be here in about a week. I'll post some pics when it shows up.

The P-Nut 1 is one of the best basses I own. Good choice!

Pics

I meant to put these pics up a while ago. It's only been two months...ha. Anyway, I've obviously had some time to spend with my new toy. It is pretty incredible. I feel it's natural strength is it's prominent mids. At a flat EQ it doesn't quite have the low end that I like, but it was nothing I couldn't dial in with a little EQ tweaking. Now it has the strong lows with mids and highs that punch through the mix. The only other thing I noticed is that the open coil pickups make make your finger strikes more noticeable than a soap bar style pick up. It's not a big deal. I just tweaked my gain a little and it's fine. Ultimately it's everything I hoped it would be. Not to mention that it is one good-looking instrument.
