Hey guys and gals,
Just thought i'd chime in here on my Vette $$ ive modded a little here and let you know the results, Mine started out as a standard $$ 5 string, but ive since dropped a Nordstrand 2band Preamp into it and its brought the bass ALIVE!! This easy to do mod was reasonably inexpencive (around $140 US). After reading the other post here about pickup splitting, ill be doing that next!. Upgrading the pots will be next. Ive also had a professional fret dress done on the bass which is something all chinese made instruments need, strung her up with elixirs and she's sounding & playing great!
With the prices of these basses being what they are, you can get a really good pro instrument for under a grand that would ♣♣♣♣ on a lot of other well known and bragged about brands out there! Im really happy with it.
