My first Warwick!!!!

So I had a Ricky that I had to sell a view years back to pay some bills. I am finally in a postion where I can replace it. I just happened to pick up a thumb at a music store and about fell out of my chair, needless to say I forgot about the Ricky for now. Searching for a Warwick I ended up on Musicians Friend site and saw the were selling the Thumb bleached blonde LTD 2003( I won't tell you how little I paid for it, you will probably become ill). I ordered one up and it will be here today!!! BTW they were all sold out the following day. If UPS makes it on time I will get use it tonight at practice. I hope I can get something done at work today, it's like the night before Christmas.

Big congrats man! I don't know if you tried an ordinary thumb before you ordered the bleached blond. They are very different in tone because of the lighter maple but it's got a real killer tone with plenty of attitude. Show us some pics on the post "Show us your bass then" when you've got it. You will probably play till your fingers bleed but red spots on that bleached bass could be awsome :wink:
 
Congrats on the new bass 2Tone. I am al the proud owner of Bleached Blonde LTD 2003 myself, a 5 strings. The sound is beautiful, with a lot of attitude, really cool for slapping. Enjoy.
 
with all this bass buying going on it might be a good idea to buy some shares in warwick eh. :wink:
 
I think shares in Warwick stock might be in order Greg, Of course we know that the most fun Warwick stock is one of their basses!

thats true mate,i'd only blow any money out of it on a new amp,& possibly beer. :wink:
 
That's a good business idea for Warwick - we buy stock and sell with profit and invest the money in new basses. Maybe Hans Peter could give us some... :wink:

What a work of art! I don't know where to start, fit, finish, tone, features, it has it all. The only issues I had were that the Beeswax and strap locks were missing from the gig bag and it looks like the strap button on the back of the bass tried to make its way through the gig bag during shipping (looks like a flaw in the gig bag design, but easily fixed). A quick call to Musicians Friend and they are trying to track down the wax and some strap locks. Now I know why allot of you folks have more than one. Hmm, I will need a fretless at some point......

I wouldn't worry too much about the beeswax under the circumstances.
 
A huge congrats form me to you 2tone! The bleached blonde is a very exsquisite Warwick. Did you get it with chrome or black hardware?

BTW I found the Strap Locks!!!!!!
