My First Warwick

Hi, I'm new to the forum and to Warwick. Just got an awesome deal from member JSmith, and took delivery of this beautiful 2007 Bubinga Corvette. This is my first Warwick bass , and I don't think there are other brands in my future. Before I bought it I saw a lot of people complained about the weight and the neck thickness, but in all reality, the neck isn't really that thick, and it has a nice shape as to where all the frets are easily accessible, even with the strap pretty low. And the weight, it really isn't too heavy. Best bass I've owned, and it's gorgeous. Congratulations and glad the bass went to a good home. I'm going to miss it. :)
 
My first is the same model as well, you will love it soooooooo much!!!! I'll never part with my Corvette.

That's a very pretty piece of Bubinga too!

Thanks guys for the kind words. Sounds like this is the bass of choice for starting the Warwick obsession.

Thanks again man, you really hooked me up. Played it at practice to day, and boy does it growl! So easy to play, and I realized I like the chunky neck. 8: Getting used to all the adjustable parts too, once you go Warwick, you don't go back.
 
So thats where the prettiest vette arund ended up! congrats mate, welcome to the forum.

once you go chunkee neck most 'normal' necks will feel like toys in your hands. just a warning :)

Thanks man, and yes it is very gorgeous, I've been very OCD about the finish. I definetly want to own it long enough to the point where it gets some prominent battle scars. Will make it even better looking. And you're so right about the neck. I played my old Ibanez the other day which has a really thin neck. It felt so 'stupid'. I thought a thick neck would make it harder to play, especially since I play with a low strap level, but it's actually a lot easier, and I have a lot more reach over all the frets. They are really nice necks, very smooth and consistent all up and down the neck.
