Sanded more and got the only big scratch in it out. You can see it near the body and neck meeting place. Weird way to say that haha. Some pieces still feel pitted in the neck through part on the body but I not worried.

I am gonna black epoxy the knobs. Any idea how to strip current finish?

Sandpaper or steelwool. steelwool should be better, because the surface is not plane. Maybe you stick the pot cap in something so you can handle it easier

Man now that the strings are a little worn in its not as tingy sounding. This bass has so Much growl. When rolled toward the bridge pickup you get a cool snarly tone. Love this bass

This baby cleans up got that deep scratch near the body neck joint taken out. Set it uP last night and it plays exceptionally.

I am considering gettin a flight case and cutting foam to fit it perfectly

Thanks. Yeah it's a beast. I like the roto 66 strings I just put on. I hope they don't hurt my frets. We will see.

So I switched out my EMG pickups to a set of Delano JMVC 4 fe/m2 Pickups. I LOVE the look of the delano pickups and the tone is very unique. They have incredible clarity and tend to have strong Lows and Mids but the highs dont seem to be over the top. Overall I am very happy with the tone and am excited to hear them with the new Glockenklang preamp that I ordered. The tone is very clear and it doesnt really seem to have much of its own color. I think it transfers the natural sound of the bass well and they do have a lot of punch. They are also very quiet. Let me know what you think of the tone. I recorded a clip of them and did split pickups, then bridge, then neck. I also will post a clip of my EMG pups playing the same thing and balanced in the middle. Looking forward to feedback.
