My first full song recording ( Bass + guitar )

Hey guys,

So I finally got a macbook pro a few months ago. A friend of mine was generous enough to give me a spare pre-amp to use for recording in garage band.

After multiple trial and error attempts at recording little jams using the effects in garage band I decided to try to record one of my personal songs that I wrote a few years back.

Gear used in recording:

4-string Warwick Corvette bass
7-string esp LTD guitar

This song was definitely inspired during my "instrumental band" phase of music listening...explosions in the sky, caspian, god is an astronaut...etc...

If drums weren't such a pain in the bum bum to use on garageband I would have programmed them into this but after 5 straight hours of recording this yesterday I wanted to save myself the headache.

Any who, listen, enjoy, and of course, feel free to let me know what you think! (Good or bad, I'm always down for constructive criticism!)

Connor, I like it, some nice ideas there dude. You manage to make it sad and moody while avoiding the cheese factor. It's very easy to sound cheesy when you 're going for moody. There's lots of noise and the audio is panned to the left. I 'd like to listen to it with da drums included. Keep writing and refining, you can do very nice stuff.

My old roomate and I threw a keggar at our old apartment last year and had a live music set. I played this song with my buddy on drums and another guitarist and it definitely sounded more upbeat; you can only go so far without a drumset haha.

The more I mess around with future recordings I expect the sound recordings to turn out better.
