My first and second Warwick.

Eoin here from Melbourne Australia. Recently got 2. Fretless teambuilts are hard to find. The bubinga 6 is HEAVY. Heavier than expected. I love the tone so much thou. They are both soooo beautiful. The honeymoon phase has not ended.

Quick question...has the hardware been changed to gold? Years? Only asking because those look (to me initially) like standard Wicks. And by "standard", I mean Masterbuilt.

Do they say "teambuilt" or "pro series" anywhere? Just curious

The six says teambuilt 2022. The five is a 2002 custom shop. The six all changed to gold with custom bubinga tuners. I’ve not seen tuners like this before.

yes, it's not often unlined fretless Warwick

apparently there was an unlined Corvette 5 passive electronics model for a while.

I bought these both used off reverb. I could not afford them new. We have plenty of stores selling Warwick in Australia. I could not easily find out whether the local distributor is though.

I can relate in a way given my first two Warwicks were (and still have them) an '06 Standard Bubinga Corvette unlined fretless four and an '09 unlined fretless five version. The latter of which is also a standard bubinga but I had to special order it as there were none available in the United States at the time.

My five string is heavy, so I can only say that make sure you lift that sixer with your legs and not your back!!

Similar story wow. Yes I am being careful of my back. I love the tone though. The body of the five string is comfortable but its more difficult to get the tones I like. I’m not doing a masterbuilt though. I’m used to heavier instrument weight. I only have five and six string basses.
