Like I said before, I used Boss GT6b only. No amp was involved. I created 2 patches, one for each track. Recorded using Sonar 2.0XL and Sound Forge 6.0 (only for minor level tweaks).
1st patch: (for "a bit of slappin')

sens 20/ freq 4kHz/ mix 60%
-Compressor: "Boss Comp" (emulates Boss Cs-3)
attack 36/ sustain 9/ tone +19/ level 66
-Preamp: "Concert 810" (models Ampeg SVT)
gain 7/ treble +31/ level 100 - all the rest set to 0
-Speaker: "original"
mic center/ mic level 100/ direct level 47
-EQ:
low +6dB at 164Hz q set to 4
mid +3dB at 760Hz q set to 2
high -3dB at 5.3kHZ q set to 2
-Chorus: stereo
rate 30/ depth 50/ pre delay 20 ms/ low cut flat/ level 37
-Master level 89/ Digital output 200 (SPDIF)
2nd patch: (for "strange days")
-Enhancer:
sens 15/ freq 2kHz/ mix 40%
-Noise gate
treshold 12/ release 8
-EQ:
high +3 dB at 6.1kHz q set to 2, all the rest flat
-Compressor: "Rack 160D" (emulates dbx 160d)
treshold 47/ ratio 6:1/ level 67
-Chorus: stereo
rate 11/ depth 80/ pre delay 10.5 ms/ low cut flat/ level 45
-Master level 105/ Digital output 200 (SPDIF)
I hope that helps. Even if you dont have a GT6b, you should have a rough idea... My Thumb was stringed with new Rotosounds (40-100). I played both tracks with as little attack as possible.
