My band's latest EP - Looking for feedback

Listened to all 4 clips, Suffocate was my favourite! Great work Marko. :-)

Thanks! All the reviews we're getting all love the Instrumental.

Nice one!
I like "Suffocate" and "Transmission Channel"
Interesting sound, definitely not something you hear every day. Keep us posted!

Thanks! I will definitely post stuff from the full length when its released. We actually got permission from Rush to cover one of their songs for the new release.

you have to ask for permission for stuff like that? o.o
i thought that all you need to do is to put that it's a Rush song in the booklet or something?

Legally you need to ask when you record somebody's songs. You can perform it live for free but if its recorded that needs permission from the songwriter(s).

didn't know that. you learn something new every day, huh? :)

I didn't know that either but since joining the musicians union I have gained a lot of music business knowledge.

Sounding good, man, very tight playing. And the band has personality, which is a good thing.

Although, I don´t like the drums (machine?) sound.

It's funny you mention that because nobody else has figured out the majority of drums where programmed. Only the cymbals are played by a person. The next record there won't be any drum programming. We just used it because when doing the EP we didn't have a drummer. When the drummer came in we didn't want to redo everything so we just had him do cymbal hits to make it more real as possible.

I knew it! :)

Drums patterns feels so perfect, and the sound itself, it reminds me a drum sound from Reason, that it was clear that there was no "real" drumming here. But it is ok, many big records, more than we can imagine, have programmed drums on them. ;)

Im really digging the updated "Rush/Triumph" sound of this band. I liked The Collector and Suffocate the best.

Great playing Marko, you and your band sound tight.

Well get ready for the next album because the drummer is pretty much like a drum machine. The guy is so on time we really didn't do any drum editing. Kinda scary but exciting at the same time.

Thank you! Love the Rush/Triumph comparison.
