More Vintage Framus

I have been tied up lately with an unexpected family issue that has not been fun and negatively impacted my finances, but I have been looking for one of these for at least a year and just couldn't pass this one up. And besides, that's what those little rectangular plastic cards are for........aren't they?

Framus 5/151 TV-Star Bass:


It has some finish cracks that don't show in the photo, and the pots are a little scratchy, but since it is over 50 years old, I am OK with that. They are VERY hard to find in this good condition. Complete and all original. Heck, the mute even works! Plus, I think I got a very good deal.

Thanks much Florin. My mother passed away unexpectedly, and it appears my older brother and his wife were involved in some unsavory, and illegal, asset theft. I knew his wife was a blood sucking pig, but I did not expect this from my only brother. Oh well, they will deeply regret their actions in the long run, I can assure you.

Like the saying goes......."this too shall pass".

That Framus looks to be in very nice shape. Congratulations on the acquisition, and good luck with your brother.

I have one that's also over 50 years old. I've been playing it since 1965, well, at least up to 1981 when I purchased my second bass.

1966 and we were playing the Skyhook Serviceman's Club on Wiesbaden AFB, Wiesbaden Germany.

I agree with Hoggles, that photo is a real treasure! Time seems to pass so quickly as you get older, pictures like that are absolutely priceless.
