More output from my Thumb?

Anyone know if I can increase the output from my '98 unmodified NT Thumb? Pups are MEC and are correctly set heightwise, I've also replaced the input jack as this was loose and the jackplug was dropping out with the slightest touch, batteries are new etc. Is there a trimpot inside on the board to tweak up? This bass has half the output of any of my others and it would be nice to get it up there ;)

There should be a mini trimpot facing you on the circuit board. I just had to turn mine down considerably on my streamer.

pop open the cavity and it should just look like a little dark circle with a slot for a small screw driver. I attached a pic with the pot starred.

You should set the trimpot to have the same output in passive and active mode. If you set the gain too high, you will have some distortions.

How close are the pickups? It should be 2,5 mm for the brisdge pickup.
 
I turn it all the way but my Thumb 6 still not loud, just like the passive output....but on my SSII, it is really loud, twice loud I think....they are different bass but I am wonder the output is so different..
 
That gives me nasty ideas... Using the onboard pre as a slap contour. I use a pedal to boost bass and treble but also cut some volume to compensate for a nice slap sound that is not too loud. I could use the preamp engage for that with bass and treble already boosted, my only problem would be the volume drop => trim pot. Hmmm... :)

Yep, tweaking the trimpot clockwise did the trick, it was backed right off for some reason - output is much better now, thanks :)
