I played in a band with a guitar player I worked with for about 6 years. It was good. The communication was probably the best I've had at setting goals and other stuff in general

FWIW, I work for a pretty big company so I'm always looking for other players to jam with when I'm there

Do you play with people you work with? Do you like it?
 
We tried. We ended up with a bassist (me), guitarist, sax player, no drummer and 25 "singers". It sucked. I bailed out.
 
I realized tha tthe drummer of one of my bands was working in the same company. But we're 1200, so we're not working "together".
We might however play in an event organized by work, but with the existing band. I wouldn't want to form a band only with colleagues.
 
Tried it once... We were 3 guitarists, 1 trumpet player and 2 vocalists (so they said). We were missing a drummer and a bassist... Go figure.

Frankly, I thought it was stupid, so didn't do anything with it.

On hind sight, I would not mix Work and Pleasure...
 
I worked with the vocalist and guitarist from my band's original lineup. Just a bunch of metalheads seeing if we could make something work. Got stuff off the ground then vocalist got fired with the guitarist not too far behind him. Still jamming with the vocalist but the guitar player has moved on. Have a couple different guys on guitar now so it's pretry alright.
