Ummmmm........is this the PJ Harvey you guys are referring to?



Personally, the only similarity I see to Miet is they both appear to female. Maybe PJ Harvey is trying to go mainstream or something, but her music seems quite bland. Meit's music, on the other hand is packed with emotion and feeling. Just my humble opinion.

This tune by PJ Harvey from over a decade ago is a bit more spirited, and I must say, I do like her dress.



But still, I have hand it to Miet for what she accomplishes all by herself with a pedalboard and her bass. I like it.

 
Seems PJ Harvey changed to a big band style. That's not typical for her. Check "Man Size", "50th Queen", "Who the fuck", "Rid of me" and you will see that Miët will know her well. PJ Harvey was very successful with that "I just let it out/don't need to be a princess"-thing.

I would say that Miet is reasonably pleasant on the eyes, but Tia Carrere is, or was anyway, smokin!

Thanks for the heads up on that Hardy! I checked out the tunes you mentioned and you were absolutely correct. I prefer PJ Harvey's old stuff much more than her newer tunes. Her old songs are much more similar to Miet.
