Hey Everyone,

My dads friend asked a security guard to let me on the floor so i got up as close as i could, ill post pictures soon.

I managed to get Kirks pick and a bass pick rob threw (but didnt use haha)

what a great night!
:D

Nice, I'm on the count-down as well. Second time 'Tallica, it's going to be awesome;

Wow,

congratulations man. It must have been very exciting.8:

P.S. I really love their new videoclip, "all nightmare long".......

I think ropb only played his warwick once in the very beginning when i was in the back, i remember his tech doing something with it (cant miss that headstock) but he didnt use it for the rest of the show... He was still awesome though haah

Metallica's my fav band. They're awesome on stage. I've seen them live 4 times, and I'm gonna see them again this year... 3 times !!! I can't wait !

My first Metallica concert was in 1987.
How old am I!

I won lotto the day after seeing them for the first time.I think it was 92,but,like you,i'm old as ♣♣♣♣ & have been a fan since the begining.

Saw 'em 96 for the first time on the Load tour - great show

Jason was a hell of a showman and bassist

Rob's playing a bit of everything... Ric, Fender, Warwick,
Tobias, etc etc etc...

I'm not gonna lie, I've always LIKED songs from Metallica,
but I was never a fan until... Yup, the ever so blasphemous
St. Anger album!

Ya gotta go back & check out Kill Em All & Master of Puppets.
This was when they were at their very best.

I have.

At one time, I downloaded EVERY Metallica album, sat down
and listened to each and every one, beginning to end.

None of it did anything for me, except for St. Anger. Just the
sound of that album, from Lars snare to James horse voice.

Just raw and gritty to me, which is what I think is their best.

However, I think we can all agree, James needs to go back
to drinking. :d

This new stuff doesn't cut it for me. ;)

When those albums came out, there was nothing,& I mean NOTHING else on the market that got anywhere near their level of musicianship & technicality.I've heard other guys your age say similar things & I can understand that point of veiw. You've been spoiled by everything else that came along after that era & going back & hearing it just desnt make the same impact it had on my generation.
Now go fetch my pipe & slippers.I think I need my midday nap sonny.:P

lol. You make a good point Greg.

(I'm more of a Motorhead & AC/DC fan myself :d
So, I DO appreciate older music, just not Metallica, lol)

Get'em yourself, because iffin' ya can't, we're stickin' you in a home!

+1

The Cliff Burton era.

Master Of Puppets and Ride The Lightning will always be Metallica to me. After Load especially, not so much. Although, the new CD is pretty good...
