Are the setups for RockBasses and real Warwick's the same?
I'm trying for a long time, but can't lower strings on my Streamer Rockbass less than 3,0 mm - on B and 2,5 mm - on G behind 24 fret without extra buzz?
Is thit a normal action?

Maybe you posts your setups there?

Hi!

My low E string also buzz a little when i play it "harder". With lighter touch there's no problem though. I'm planning to spend some time setting it up this weekend, but I think that the only difference in setup between rockbasses and german warwicks is the bridge. German warwicks have a 2-piece bridge with screws that can set the distance of the whole bridge from the body, and rockbasses have a 1-piece bridge without this control, but you can set the intonation and height of individual strings.

My rockbass didn't came with a manual either, so I'm saying this based on the german-warwick manual available online. :-)

I have a thing about bridges - I thought the Rockbass bridge lets it down a bit - so I replaced the die-cast version with an ABM bridge (more German engineering) and got a more focussed tone and more adjustability. As I play fretless, I can't really help with your main question, but the action on my Corvette Rockbass is pretty low. Can't see why the set-up advice in the Warwick Manual can't be used for Rockbasses - apart from the lack of versatility in the bridge adjustment - you can still go back and forward and up and down!

Yes, apart from the height adjustment in the bridge I think you can use the german-warwick manual.

Anyway, this weekend I finished my "setup" session in my rockbass. The low E buzz is gone, and the action is pretty low, I'm quite happy. 8)
