So I've been about a year wondering if Quazimodo can stay or
hasta go. And I'm still not 100% sold on this beasty, a Thumb
BN5 FL. But an old project has fired up again, which was last
played before Quazimodo followed me home.

When you play with a "Carib Drum Corps", indoors, you gotta
find a sound that holds it own without adding too much to the
already horrendous sound level pressure in the room. Used to
use a MusicMan for this, and really did hold its own ... but I'm
now harboring Quazimodo so despite his hunched back he got
a shot at it, cuz ... [duh] ... "Thumb FL Tone" !

All the congeros looooved Quazimodo ! It had been over a year
since since our last jam but when we were packing I'm asked if
this was a "new bass" and "not the same one as before" cuz this
one is "amazing". They all noticed the difference, even over the
long many months since the last session !

Looks like Q keeps his foster home a while longer ... dammit.

I have nothing to add to this except I will refer to any bass I have that I'm considering selling as "Quazimodo's" now

Warwicks tend to do that. They sound very different than other basses, most often better.

Well acoarst in my situation is most important that
they should sound different than the congas ;-) But
sometimes I do put it face up across my lap and use
him like a drum !
